Kipper Tie

Hansel and Gretel

Adapted for the stage by Jim Fowler and Bernie C. Byrnes

All is not well in the deep dark wood - Red Riding Hood is living the "High-Life" on grandma's money; Sleeping Beauty has a caffeine addiction any parent with small children would be proud of; and Goldilocks is amassing a vast gingerbread army! Into this mayhem stumbles Hansel, closely follwed by Gretel.

Kipper Tie have drawn on the Brothers Grimm, Mother Goose and A4 paper to bring you their brand new show for children [6+]! More foot-stomping tunes, more lovable characters and even more musical mayhem.

Can they find their way out of the woods? Should they go left or should they go right and what exactly is that strange smell of ginger.

"Over the last few years Kipper Tie has made a small but significant contribution to children's theatre by treating its audience with respect and dignity. By consciously avoiding the dramtic and musical genres stereotypically recognisable as 'children's', it bravely resolved to bring jazz, gospel and rock 'n' roll to the nursery rhyme. Equally, in choosing its stories it has gone for plausible dramas that happen in the world of children and handled them with immense sensitivity and a great sense of humour."
